Composite Deck Builders in Colorado

Composite decking is a manufactured board used in place of wood. The companies below say on their websites or Maps listings that they build with it.

The material does not change the permit rules. The Pikes Peak Regional Building Department lists decks, composite included, among homeowner projects that need a permit, and exempts only small detached decks of 200 square feet or less that sit no more than 30 inches above grade and do not serve the required exit door. Fort Collins exempts the same small detached decks. Denver asks for a zoning permit once an uncovered deck is 12 inches off the ground and a building permit at 30 inches.

Ask each builder which composite brands it installs, what the manufacturer's warranty covers, and who handles the permit. In wildfire country, the Colorado State Forest Service advises keeping leaves and needles cleared from every deck.
